World Of Warcraft Extreme Leveling

A few weeks back I heard about yet another new leveling guide that was about to hit the market – Extreme Leveling. I remember wondering then if we had not gone well beyond the threshold of good leveling guides and into excess. I had a talk with Shawn Woods, the guide’s creator before it came out back then and he told me a bit about what to expect from the guide and I must admit, my misgivings started to fade. I was intrigued by his new plans and excited to see if they worked or not. The first results are in and I have to say, I take back my original worries about another leveling guide out there – I think this is the guide we’ll be using to measure the rest from here on out.

The Meat of the Guide

The Guide itself is a multi-part system with leveling strategies for both Horde and Alliance characters and a complete in-game leveling mod that allows you to continue leveling without leaving the game. Additionally, you are given detailed maps with illustrations of where to go and when and a full walk through with details on every step of the process.

The real draw of this guide though is in the actual walkthrough, as unique and original a walkthrough as I’ve seen since the first guides hit the market. This is the real deal because it throws out the other guide methods and puts together a new method that is 100% unique and best of all effective. My first run through with it yielded a time of less than 8 days. I bet I can do faster next time.

The Bottom Line

There are no negatives to Extreme Leveling. In the past, I’ve tried out guides that were effective but poorly written or just plain lacking in extra content. This guide has it all – clear instructions, decent writing, a stable of nice additional content, and one of the most effective walkthroughs I’ve ever used. I think we’ll be seeing a lot more from Extreme Leveling in the days to come and that wouldn’t be such a bad thing at all.

Horde Leveling Guide

World of Warcraft is a very different to the standard real-time strategy style of the other Warcraft games. Like other MMORPGs such as EverQuest, players control a character within a game world, exploring the landscape, fighting monsters and carrying out quests through their characters.

The game rewards success through money, items, and experience which allows players to develop their skill and power by leveling from 1-70. Players may take part in battles against other players, including duels and fights against player characters allied with an enemy faction. This can be done with both the Horde and Alliance factions.

Many quests in the game play can be completed alone without the help of other players, particularly if the player is a higher level than his or her opponent, for e.g. a level 70 player would normally be able to defeat a level 60 player with greater ease. Other sections of WoW, such as its dungeon areas, are designed to require players to work in a team to succeed. Any group of players from 2 to 40 may raid a dungeon. The highest level and most complex dungeons are designed to take raiding guilds months of game play and many attempts in order for them to succeed.

The World of Warcraft game areas designed for level 60 characters are much more raid-dependent than the relatively more casual experience of advancing one’s character from levels 1 to 60. The majority of World of Warcraft’s endgame content requires raiding, with raids making up the bulk of the game’s development since its release.

With the expansion having been released which allows players to go from 1-70 and partake in greater raids, the gaming experience of WoW players across the globe has only enhanced. If you want to enjoy WoW and learn the fastest way to get from 1-70, then check it out here. They have been written for both Horde and Alliance players, and include easy step by step instructions on where to go and what quests to complete.

Finding a Good WoW PvP Guide

There are dozens of WoW PvP Guides out there and they all promise something similar. They tell you they can help you become better with your class and help you defeat every other class with top notch strategies. But, many of them only give you generalized information at the most and a whole host of useless tasks to run you through that may or may not actually help. They are highly subjective in the end and can often be outdated by a patch or two, making them almost entirely useless. So, how do you find a good WoW PvP Guide for your specific character’s needs?

Finding a Good Warlock PvP Guide

Warlocks are powerhouses in PvP, especially Arena play, for a few good reasons. They are downright nasty to fight against. Their ability to load up damage on an opponent and then simply let them whither to death while feared is not only incredibly effective, it is downright cruel if you think about it and makes them greatly feared by many classes. Of course, they are not indestructible and essentially any skilled player can defeat a Warlock if they have the knowledge to counteract the fear and DoTs that make a Warlock so dangerous.

The Value of Shaman PvP Guides

Shamans are one of the most fun classes to play in World of Warcraft because of how much they can do in combat. From throwing down a dozen different totems to picking up a pair of swords with Windfury and slicing up an opponent or healing themselves back to full with a few well timed totems, a Shaman can do a bit of everything and they do it all with style. But, to be able to manage all of those totems and maintain a solid front in battle, players need to pick up a good Shaman PvP Guide.

Guide for Using Your Paladin in PvP

Have you looked at other Paladins in PvP combat and wondered if you could truly join their ranks and be nearly as good as them at what they do? A Paladin can be a wonderful thing on a good team – a melee fighter with heals that can pretty much survive a nuclear winter. But, none of that does any good if your opponents know you better that you do yourself – which is why a good Paladin PvP Guide is vital to any newcomer to Paladin PvP.

What Paladins Do in PvP

A Paladin might take on one of a few different roles in PvP according to most Paladin PvP Guides. First off, they will spend a good deal of time healing, no matter what situation you are in or what spec you have. In duals, they are considered a bane of most players because they can heal back from almost any health point once or twice and essentially triple their health bar. In group play they will work to provide bubbles, blessings, heals, and melee support throughout the battlefield in ways that no other class can do.

Of course, what many Paladin players don’t realize and what Paladin PvP Guides strive to point out early on is that there are equally as many shortcomings to the Paladin class in PvP – the foremost of which is their reliance on mana with such a small mana pool. When that pool is drained they are pretty much sitting ducks. Second, they are stuck in melee combat. They have no means of closing in on a Hunter or a Mage all that easily and that makes them big old brick walls that must be worn down. Of course, as you will learn in the Paladin PvP Guide, that does not make them any easier, but if you don’t know the right tricks for defeating those particular classes, you will learn that things are a lot tougher.

What a good Paladin PvP Guide Does

A good Paladin PvP Guide is not just a blueprint for how you will fight each other class, though those instructions can come in very handy for beginners to PvP. Rather, it is a chance for players to learn just about everything they need to know about the class and the other classes in a specific PvP environment. Sure a class guide is useful, but only a guide written about PvP will show you what to do in PvP.

What is the Key to Mage’ Success in PvP?

How many times have you thought to yourself that you would like to give the PvP options in World of Warcraft a real good shot? Have you wondered what you would encounter or just how good your opponents would be? It can be intimidating to consider what you might face if you were to set foot into an arena or battleground for the first time, but the truth of the matter is that all of those great players were once where you were and they all got better through practice and resources such as a good Mage PvP Guide.

Any good Mage PvP Guide will tell you that if you want to be successful in PvP you must prepared for your opponent. This is especially important for Mages who fight with their mana more than their health. When you run out of mana, you are incapable of mitigating damage any longer, crowd controlling or doing much of anything else. Mage PvP  Guides are almost all designed to tell you that you must focus on dealing as much damage as possible as early as possible to almost every class to be effective in PvP.

But, those same Mage PvP Guides will also tell you that there are exceptions to the rule – for Frost Mages especially you will find that there is a great deal more survivability in your spec because of the power of spells like Ice Block and Frost Nova. You can usually withstand almost double the damage as you your counterparts – of course your burst damage potential is greatly diminished but for those who would rather be more deliberate and strategic in battle this is the route to go.

Unlike practice and trial and error, a good Mage PvP Guide works with the expertise of past players to provide a complete outlook on the various methods you will use to effectively defeat any opponent in the game, even those such as the Warlock who are seemingly built to kill Mages. The truth is that while a Mage can be highly effective in PvP, they are among the hardest classes to master. There is less room for error and much more room for mistake and while you can work kinks out, having a Mage PvP guide to give you good starting points is almost vital to being effective in this situation.
